God values relationships. He wants you to be part of a community where people support and encourage you and you support and encourage them.
Life Groups are at the heart of Bay Life Church, and they are arguably the best way to form strong, lasting relationships with other Lifers. Central to our Life Groups are three ideas: Care, grow and serve. Just like a good family, the people in your Life Group will be there to rejoice with you in the good times and support you through the difficult times.
Every week, hundreds of Lifers meet in small "Life Groups" to learn more about God and pray, laugh, live, and eat. Life Groups are at the heart of Bay Life and are the best way to build friendships, find support in hard times, and plug into the Bay Life community. See a group that looks interesting, email the leader and begin to connect!
Many of our groups take time off over the summer. Below are groups and classes that are open to new folks during this summer. With the start of our fall semester in August, we will have many new groups available.

Verbal abuse is a kind of battering that doesn't leave evidence like the bruises in physical battering. It can be just as painful and recovery can take much longer. The victim of verbal abuse lives in a gradually more confusing realm. If you have been verbally abused, you may doubt your own experience and not realize that you are doing so. This group is designed to help you recognize subtle verbal abuse and manipulation. It will help you respond in a way that requests change.
