In 2010, the garden was started with seven volunteers, an empty plot of land, one garden hose, and 100 cinder blocks. Today, the garden produces over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce every year to organizations like Women’s Resource Center and ECHO.

Our vision is two-fold: to provide a garden space for the surrounding community and to supply fresh food to our local food pantries.

The north side of the garden is maintained by individuals and families who pay a rental fee of $35 per year with 6 volunteer hours or $70 with no volunteer hours. The south side of the garden, the donation side, is financed by the rental fees from the north side and maintained by a dedicated crew of volunteers.

Garden volunteer days are the second Saturday of every month from 8-10am. Regular harvesting takes place every Sunday, between the two services. A second harvest takes place on Wednesday mornings.
