Men's Life Groups

Life groups are a great place to develop some strong friendships with other men. Together, we learn how to engage our faith in our day to day life through biblical truth and each other's experiences. Several men's groups meet weekly at Bay Life, in homes and online via Zoom. Check baylife.org/groups for a current listing of all available groups. For more information, or if you need help connecting, contact Rusty Reeder, Men's Ministry Coordinator,

United to Worship - Men's Fall Retreat

October 14 - 17, 2021
Camp Anderson @ Blue Springs
2650 Lakeshore Drive, Marianna, FL 32446

THE FALL RETREAT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

An open letter from Rusty to the men of Bay Life Church:

Gentlemen,

I hope this email finds you well. It has been another crazy year. It's even crazier that it is almost October!
I'm sending this email today, to inform you that we have had to cancel the retreat. I am truly saddened to have to tell you this news. Despite being planned for almost a year, registrations beginning in April and an extremely large push of marketing communication, we are short of the number that we need to have the retreat. It may have been the change in location, COVID concerns and/or the season of uncertainty in our society. I personally believe all of these played a factor in the outcome. I also believe God shut the door for a reason.
After much prayer and reflection, I believe that we are to focus on building a culture for the men of Bay Life to be all in! He wants us to be intentional with our resources here at home, continue to build a welcoming and thriving community of Godly men and to focus on growing closer to Him and each other. Our mission is to equip and empower the men of Bay Life to glorify God by being disciples who make disciples. Throughout the rest of the year and next, this will remain our primary focus. We will have events to gather guys together to learn and get to know each other, so every man has a place to belong. Small groups will be available for deeper study and community. We will continue to come together monthly as a large group to worship and grow. The surrounding community will know we care through service projects and outreach events. Lastly, we will continue to multiply through discipleship.
God is the owner and designer of this ministry. I invite you to continue to be an integral part in this community of men. The first step is prayer. If you don't already pray for the men of Bay Life to be committed, Christ following leaders, please add that to your prayers. Continue to connect as you do and to find ways to connect deeper into this body of believers. God hasn't built this ministry to just have guys involved in the men's ministry. We are the leaders of the Church and this is a place to grow, belong, and support each other so we can be better equipped to serve and lead wherever we are called!
Lastly, you will be receiving refunds for the funds you have paid. Please be patient, you will probably see your refund sometime the first couple weeks in October. Our accounting department is down a few people at the moment.
Again I'm really bummed we couldn't hang out at Camp Anderson this year. Stay tuned for announcements of upcoming events and opportunities to worship, belong, serve and multiply! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
Peace & Joy,
Rusty Reeder | Men’s Ministry Coordinator

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to unfold, we as a church want to do our part. Health officials recommend that group gatherings practice social distancing, wearing masks and limit groups size as a means to prevent any spread of this potentially harmful virus. As such, we are offering Men's Ministry online as well as in person. If you are visiting our groups or events for the first time, please register and if you request an online connection, we will send you the Zoom link for that session.

Zoom is free. It allows groups of people to connect over the internet using the microphone and camera on your device. You can connect using your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. You will need internet access, a camera and a microphone (built in to most phones, tablets, laptops and some newer computers). From your computer or laptop, simply click on the Zoom link. Follow the instructions on the screen. For a phone or tablet, you will need to download the "ZOOM Cloud Meetings" app and then you will be able to click on the link to launch Zoom. Please log in 10 minutes early to make sure everything is working properly. This will also help minimize interruptions once the group has started.

We encourage you to participate in online activities and stay connected as best you can. If you need assistance connecting, please contact your leader or .
