Middle School (6th8th Grade)

Middle School Ministry | Online This Week

We are having Middle School Ministry ONLINE this Wednesday on Zoom from 7-8:30pm.. You can join us on your Mobile device (download the “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” app) or on your computer (just follow the link). There will be games, small group time, and a message❗️

Curriculum: What We Teach

Bay Life uses a multi-year training program to teach the entire bible to our students. Every week, they study a specific portion of Scripture, that allows them to see the Christ connection. Utilizing the Gospel Project curriculum, our students are learning that the Bible is not merely a book with interesting stories, but rather one complete story that points directly to Jesus. Join our Middle School Facebook Group and learn more about how to continue the lesson in-between the weekend services.

** To ensure online safety for our families, you must be an active Middle School volunteer or you / your student must attend Middle School before being granted access to the Group.**

For a lot of middle school kids, it’s all about “me.” And here at Bay Life, we build on thatin a good way.

Our aim is to get our middle school students to own their faith. To realize their relationship with Christ is no longer about what mom and dad believe, but instead it’s about them owning their own faith.

We want to motivate our middle school students to take personal responsibility for their spiritual health and growth, and to take seriously the Great Commission. Once they start catching on to these simple truths, they’ll naturally realize that it’s not all about “me” … and that will be a beautiful thing to watch.

Each week, students experience a combination of worship, games, a challenging message, and most importantly, interaction with a small group.

The Middle School Ministry (6-8th Grade) meets in The Loft (in the Student Center) on Sundays during the 9:00am worship service, and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm.

If you are the parent of a middle school student with special needs, please let us know at check-in. We have a class specifically designed for your student at the 9am service in Room 602.

High School (9-12th Grade)

High School LIFT | Online This Week

High School Ministry (LIFT) will be meeting ONLINE this Sunday through Zoom. You can join us on your Mobile device or on your computer. There will be games, small group time, and a message from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Keep up with LIFT @ Bay Life

The wait is over. It’s time for our students to live out their faith. It’s time for them to realize that having a personal relationship with Christ doesn’t mean keeping it to oneself. It’s time for them to stand up for what’s right, even if they might be standing alone. It's time they look to God for their satisfaction and approval and to worship Him...not just on Sundays, but in everything they do.

We want to see our students fully surrendered to Christ, owning their faith, serving Him and serving others. The fact is, what your student does with these few years of high school could set the trajectory for the rest of his/her life. Let us help you guide your student in the way he/she should go.

Each week, students experience a combination of worship, games, a challenging message, and most importantly, interaction with a small group.

The High School Ministry (9-12th Grade) attends main service on Sunday Mornings. High School – LIFT meets in the Student Center on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30pm.

Student Missions Opportunities

“Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done” (Psalm 105:1).

Our great God has created us to know Him and make Him known among the nations.  Each year Bay Life Church sends out over 100 students and adults on mission trips to proclaim His name, share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and make known His great deeds among the nations for the glory of God. This year we'll be offering our students the opportunity again to bring hope and new life to those in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, New York, and Utah.

The effects of Hurricane Florence are still being felt in the Carolinas, and Hurricane Dorian has only added to the damage. The reality for many families left in the wake of a hurricane is that the rebuilding never takes place. This team will be able to offer help and hope to families affected by Hurricanes Dorian and Florence through home repair projects. At the same time, this team will partner with local ministries to bring the hope of the gospel to this place through relational outreach opportunities.

The students will work in the local community in conjunction with the local church. They will see some of the issues in a more cross-cultural, financially-stretched community. While they are there, they will help improve a house/school or community area with their construction skills, as they share Jesus with the people around them.

The Florida Baptist Children’s Home is our mission partner in Lakeland. Service projects can range from landscaping to sorting donated food items that will later be distributed to those in the community. We also help with the day camp that is on campus for the foster children. Another important aspect of this trip is the students spiritual growth. Students will learn how to have a quiet time on their own and then come together to discuss what God is teaching them as a team.

Urban Nations Outreach in New York focuses on meeting the spiritual, physical, and social needs of the Muslims in their target neighborhoods. Our team will engage in hands-on, relational, interaction with New York’s newest Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist refugees while serving at UNO’s South Asian and West African Ministry Centers. Our team will help with their church planting efforts by assisting with immigrant children’s programs, helping teach ESL and conversation classes, accompanying their staff in street evangelism, doing light construction projects, and other opportunities.

In Utah, theology is on most people’s minds because the majority of them are Mormons. In Utah, students will have many chances to dialogue with people of the Mormon faith- at the Salt Lake City Temple, BYU, or while serving in the community. Utah will deepen their knowledge of God and His Word like nothing else. That knowledge will deepen their relationship with Christ and give them a love for people who need Christ.

Global 5K Cross-Country Run/Walk

Postponed until later in 2020

COVID-19 / Coronavirus Update

In an effort to help contain the COVID-19 virus and comply with the suggested guidelines of our national and state government, we will be postponing the Bay Life Global 5K to a future date.

In the recent past, Bay Life has had to postpone other large events due to various reasons and these rescheduled events were still a great success.  As soon as circumstances allow, we will choose a new date for the 5K and will pass this information on to you as soon as possible.

Although the future date for this event is uncertain at this time, we are thankful we can rest in the certainty of the sovereignty and goodness of our God.  We hope you too can find peace in this and we hope to see you at our rescheduled 5K in the future!

The Bay Life Cross-Country 5K Run/Walk is on Saturday, March 28 at 8am. There will also be a Bay Life Kids 1K Fun Run!

This amazing event has hundreds of runners every year and is always a blast for the whole family. This year we are supporting missions to Myrtle Beach, Atlanta, New York City, Utah and more.

Runners, joggers, walkers, and strollers are welcome! Registration is $35. We also have sponsorships available for our 5k, which are great for advertising for your business and allow you to contribute to a cause that impacts those in our community and around the world.
