BAY LIFE NEIGHBORS FALL FEST

OPEN | CREATE | ASK | SHARE

Open, Create, Ask, and Share are the four corners of Bay Life’s #b1brandon movement. We need to OPEN the door, CREATE the opportunity, ASK good questions, and SHARE our story.

1) OPEN the door

The first thing you have to do is to be available. For #blcfallfest, this means be home and be welcoming. Open your doors to welcome your neighbors, make eye contact, get to know their names.

2) CREATE the opportunity to stay

Create an environment to get to know them. Put out a few kids games in your driveway, throw the football around and encourage neighbors to join in, put your grill out front and cook up some hotdogs to share, or many other ideas linked below.

3) ASK good questions

Getting to know people stems from asking good questions and listening closely to the answers. Don’t just stop at names and addresses. Ask questions like:

  • How’d you meet your spouse?
  • How’d you come to live in Florida, Tampa, etc?
  • What do enjoy most about your work? etc.
  • What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
  • Have a good question you think helps get to know your neighbors better?Email it to us at  and maybe we'll feature it in an upcoming Facebook post!

4) SHARE stories and encouragement

Encourage other Bay Lifers by sharing your story, successes, and more by tagging your posts #b1brandon on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

We have found some fun websites that easily explain how to set up some fun and inexpensive games to help CREATE the opportunity to stay and visit your home.
