safeTALK
Saturday, May 18, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
safeTalk is a one-time, three hour seminar that teaches members of the community to recognize persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide intervention resources. The 'safe' in safeTALK stands for 'suicide alertness for everyone'. The TALK refers to the steps one does to help a person with thoughts of suicide: Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep Safe. This 3 hour seminar will consist of video presentations at various points in the training and also a safe TALK trainer who guides and instructs the seminar.
This seminar is for anyone over the age of 15. Also, please note, that safeTALK is not suitable for persons that have recently been affected by a suicide.
