Prayer at Bay Life
Prayer is powerful and effective! We know that we serve a God who listens when we pray (Psalm 4:1, John 14:13-14), and we are committed to being a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13).
PRAY GOD'S GLORY ACROSS THE EARTH
National Day of Prayer | May 7, 2020
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. - Habakkuk 2:14 NIV
WHY PRAY FOR AMERICA?
God is the only hope for America. Our hope does not rest in our economics, elections, or even education. It is only by the grace and goodness of God that He inclines His ear to hear our prayers. Philippians 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God"
Prayer taps into God's wisdom, strength, protection, and peace. He stands ready to respond to our needs when we humbly ask for divine intervention in the affairs of men. His glory shines and is spread across America as we humble ourselves in prayer and exalt Him in praise.
LORD GOD WE PRAY YOUR GLORY WOULD BREAK OUT LIKE THE DAWN IN AND THROUGH OUR GOVERNMENT. - Psalm 102:15 NASB
We seek to live under Your authority as well as Your blessings and so we pray that America would bless You with our leaders, laws and lives. Please reveal Your presence and power to every local, state and federal governments, show them Your glory and goodness. Guide them in Your ways so that our nation would give You glory.
LORD WHO GIVES WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, WE PRAY THAT CAMPUSES WOULD BE FILLED WITH YOUR GLORY. - Ephesians 1:17 NASB

JESUS, KING OF KINGS, WE PRAY THAT YOU WILL FILL OUR MILITARY WITH YOUR GLORY. - Ephesians 6:10-12 NASB
We pray that You would lead our military, that they would defend freedom and liberty. We ask Your protection as they battle evil and shield the weak. Strengthen Your warriors in the salvation only found in You. Guide and guard their families as well as their chain of command as they serve at home and on the front lines.
JESUS, WE PRAY THAT YOUR CHURCH WOULD BE SATURATED WITH YOUR GLORY. - 1 Kings 8:10-11 NASB
We plead that Your presence would fill the churches so that people will be drawn into and saturated in the experience of Your presence in Your church. That Your Word would be clearly and courageously taught and obeyed. We pray that our lives will be a faithful testimony of Your goodness and would be known by our love as we live to give You glory.
HEAVENLY FATHER, WE PRAY THAT YOU WILL EXTEND AND EXPAND YOUR GLORY, THROUGH OUR FAMILIES AS WE DWELL IN YOU. - Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB
We pray that You strengthen marriages so that husbands and wives would remain faithful to You and to one another. We pray that parents would love and nurture their children spiritually in Your Word and ways as well as lovingly providing for their physical, emotional and mental needs.
LORD, WE PRAY THAT YOU WILL FILL EVERY WORKPLACE IN OUR NATION WITH YOUR GLORY. - Colossians 1:9b-11a NASB
We pray that all we do, every word, plan, strategy, goal, transaction, and relationship would bring You glory. We give You glory for our knowledge, talents and opportunities.
LORD, OUR CREATOR, WE PRAY THAT SOUND, SCRIPTS AND SCREENS WOULD BE FILLED WITH YOUR GLORY. John 7:18 NASB
We pray, praise You, and give You thanks. You gave us the beauty of this world; in sunsets and the sea, flowers, mountains and in every person made in Your image. You give us gifts and talents that we steward for Your glory. Keep our hearts and minds filled with light as we choose the voices we listen to and the images we watch.

Wednesday 24-Hour Prayer Vigils
As we walk through this difficult time it's important for us to regularly be in prayer. David's idea was to set up a 24 hour rotation of prayer with the idea of being intentional to pray for the same things. Our hope is to set a schedule with hour time slots and people willing to commit to praying during that time for the things on this list. If you get through them inside of the hour, then pray for whatever else God puts on your heart.
We're doing one each Wednesday as we walk through this season. You'll find the list of things we're praying for at the registration link to go. If you have any issues trying to sign up or other questions, please feel free to email Counseling + Care Pastor, Brenton Shephard at .
