Classes at Bay Life Church
At Bay Life Church, our classes are designed to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus and become more connected within the church family. Our desire is that these classes would deepen your faith, strengthen your understanding of God’s Word, lead you into worship, and equip you to serve and disciple others.

Membership Class

Our Membership Class is designed for those seeking to become part of the Bay Life Church family. During this class, participants will gain a deeper understanding of who we are as a church—our mission, core values, doctrine, and statement of faith. You will also learn what it means to Worship, Belong, Multiply and Serve within our church community. While membership is not a requirement for attendance, we hope you will prayerfully consider taking this next step in your journey with Bay Life. There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome. Families with kids are welcome to attend!

Baptism 101

Baptism is a deeply personal, yet public, proclamation of one's faith in Christ and intention to follow Him in new life. Because baptism is understood differently in various faith traditions, we must know the scriptural meaning of baptism and Jesus' intent when He commanded that His followers be baptized. Baptism 101 is our prerequisite class in which we share important information about baptism, schedule the specific time for your baptism, and explain how the process will work. Those who attend and fulfill all requirements of Baptism 101 will have the choice to be baptized on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 after one of the services.

Have you ever wondered why you are the way you are when it comes to finances? Could the way you feel about and relate to money be part of God’s design? True financial well-being means much more than getting out of debt and managing money well. It involves understanding how you’ve been wired by God to feel toward, think about, and handle money. The Seven Money Types will be an 8-week class that will explore these questions and help you understand how your use of finances and resources reflects the image of God.
Registration includes a copy of the book "The Seven Money Types: Discover How God Wired You To Handle Money" by Tommy Brown and a companion workbook for $20. You may wish to purchase a copy for each person registering.

Most Christians want to share their faith but often do not because of fear—fear of being rejected, fear of not knowing enough, fear of offending others, or fear of being ridiculed. This class will teach you proven techniques for having thoughtful discussions about faith and getting people to think about Jesus. Course material is based on Tactics: a Guide to Effectively Discussing Your Christian Convictions, by Gregory Koukl.
Join us for seven weeks, as we learn how to share our faith with confidence in an ever-changing world.

The "yoke of slavery" that Paul is referring to are harmful habits, negative thinking, and irrational feelings that keep us in bondage, incapable of enjoying our freedom in Jesus. Join us as we discover the reality behind these bondages and how to be set free from them. Come see how you can live a life of freedom in Jesus.
Financial Peace University

Multiply: Discipleship Basics

In Matthew 28, Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to follow His commands. In one word, this is discipleship. Discipleship is the process of intentionally equipping believers with the Word of God through accountability relationships empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to replicate faithful followers of Christ. Join us as we embark on a 5-week discipleship journey in which you will be equipped to be the disciple-maker that God has called each of us to be.
Multiply: Discipleship Basics meets every Sunday for five weeks during second service. There is no cost. Optional books will be available to purchase. If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, we would love to help you get one.
The Awe of God

The Awe of God is a powerful class based on the book by John Bevere that invites participants to rediscover a holy reverence for who God truly is. In a culture that often minimizes the fear of the Lord, this class explores why awe matters, how it shapes our faith, and how it draws us into a deeper, more authentic relationship with God. Through weekly conversations, teaching, and reflection, we will examine how a right view of God transforms the way we live, worship, and follow Jesus. This class is designed to strengthen your spiritual foundation, renew your passion for God, and help you grow in obedience, humility, and trust.
We will meet weekly on Sundays, creating space for community, discussion, and spiritual growth as we journey together toward a deeper awe of God.
Victory: Realizing the Power of Your Identity in Christ

Additionally, we will learn practical down-to-earth strategies that will help us to be released from the burdens of the past and to realize the power of our identity in Jesus Christ. Wired

We will walk through a personality type assessment, strengths assessment, emotional intelligence insight and multiple passages of Scripture on this journey of discovery.
