Classes at Bay Life Church
Our classes are designed to help you along in your spiritual journey. We hope these classes help you develop a sense of belonging, find a place to serve, lead you into a deeper sense of worship and empower you to help others grow on their spiritual journey.
The classes you see listed below are open and ready for you to jump in! Classes will be held at Bay Life Church unless listed otherwise. Classes offering an online option, will specify that in their description. Some classes have a cost. We will consider scholarship requests as we have funds available.

Baptism 101

Baptism is a deeply personal, yet public, proclamation of one's faith in Christ and intention to follow Him in new life. Because baptism is understood differently in various faith traditions, it is important that we know the scriptural meaning of baptism and Jesus' intent when He commanded that His followers be baptized. Baptism 101 is our prerequisite class in which we share important information about baptism, schedule the specific time for your baptism, and explain how the process will work. Those who attend and fulfill all requirements of Baptism 101 will have the choice to be baptized on Sunday, June 23 after one of the services.
Bondage Breaker

Spiritual warfare has often been described as the battle for our minds. Galatians 5:1 tells us, "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." The "yoke of slavery" that Paul is referring to are harmful habits, negative thinking, and irrational feelings that keep us in bondage, incapable of enjoying our freedom in Jesus. Join us as we discover the reality behind these bondages and how to be set free from them. Come see how you can live a life of freedom in Jesus.

Financial Peace University

Dave Ramsey just made some huge updates to Financial Peace University! So, whether you’ve never experienced the hope of FPU or just need a refresher, now’s the time to take the course.
In Financial Peace University, you’ll learn how to:

Membership Class
Saturday, June 1, 2024 | 9am - 2pm
Our Membership Class is for anyone wanting to join the Bay Life Family. This is a one day only class that is held on June 1st, 2024, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Loft. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. During this class you will learn all about our Mission, Values, Doctrine, and Statement of Faith. Although membership is not required, we hope you will choose to join our family. There is no cost to attend.
Multiply: Discipleship Basics
In Matthew 28, Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to follow His commands. In one word, this is discipleship. Discipleship is the process of intentionally equipping believers with the Word of God through accountability relationships empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to replicate faithful followers of Christ. Join us as we embark on a 5-week discipleship journey in which you will be equipped to be the disciple-maker that God has called each of us to be.
Multiply: Discipleship Basics meets every Sunday for five weeks during second service. There is no cost. Optional books will be available to purchase. If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, we would love to help you get one.

Share Your Faith with Confidence
Sundays, March 17 - May 5, 2024 | 10:45am - 12pm
Most Christians want to share their faith, but often do not because of fear - fear of being rejected, fear of not knowing enough, fear of offending others, or fear of being ridiculed. This class will teach you proven techniques for having thoughtful discussions about faith and getting people to think about Jesus. Course material is based upon "Tactics: a Guide to Effectively Discussing Your Christian Convictions," by Gregory Koukl. You may purchase your workbook for $15 with your registration or from the retail outlet of your choice.
Join us for seven weeks, as we learn how to share our faith with confidence in an ever changing world.
The Seven Money Types - Discover How God Wired You To Handle Money
Have you ever wondered why you are the way you are when it comes to finances? Could the way you feel about and relate to money be part of God’s design? True financial well-being means much more than getting out of debt and managing money well. It involves understanding how you’ve been wired by God to feel toward, think about, and handle money. The Seven Money Types will be an 8-week class that will explore these questions and help you understand how your use of finances and resources reflects the image of God.

Victory: Realizing the Power of Your Identity in Christ

Jesus tells us in John 8:32, "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Join us as we discover the truth as to who we are in Christ. Additionally, we will learn practical down-to-earth strategies that will help us to be released from the burdens of the past and to realize the power of our identity in Jesus Christ. Come see how you can live a joyous life, empowered by Jesus.

Wired
Sundays, March 17 - May 5, 2024 | 10:45am - 12pm
Paul tells us in Romans 12, "For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them." Join us as we discover how God has uniquely wired us to be a part of the body of Christ. We will walk through a personality assessment, a spiritual gifts assessment, and multiple passages of Scripture on this journey of discovery.
